THE HISTORY
Construction of Lewisville Dam was authorized in 1945, started in 1948, and completed in 1955 at a cost of $21.5 million. It crosses the Elm Fork of the Trinity River to create Lewisville Lake. The map shows the future dam and lake and provides details about the construction project.
