THE ITEM
Clear yellow plastic keychain, measuring approx. 1.5 inches by 0.5 inches, with a paper inside that names B&B Food Store. There is a bronze-colored metal chain attached by an eyelet.
THE HISTORY
B&B Food Stores was located on the northeast corner of Main and Poydras and was operated by twin brothers Hubert Bond and Rubert Bond. The store originally was called W.D. Bonds Grocery according to a 1948 newspaper advertisement. The store remained open at least into 1959 when the store was a sponsor of the LHS yearbook.
