2004 Plaque – UPRA Rodeo of the Year

THE ITEM

Wooden plaque, approx. 14 inches by 15 inches, with silver-colored metal plate on the upper two-thirds that shows the UPRA logo in a thatched background, and a small silver-colored metal name plate below it with text declaring the 2004 Rodeo of the Year.

THE HISTORY

Lewisville Saddle Club started the Labor Day Rodeo in 1965 and ran it annually through 2017 before assigning the event to the City of Lewisville. The event was held at the City-owned Lewisville Rodeo Arena, which was renamed in 2021 at Bill Weaver Arena .

Received during property purchase from Lewisville Saddle Club.
