Marco

Marco’s Centennial Adventure

In 2019, Marco made his big move to Lewisville and quickly learned there is a lot to do here and a lot of exciting things coming to the city. With the help of his new friend Avery, and her Grandma Bea, Marco learned about the Lewisville 2035 vision plan.

Now, the trio is back at it, in Marco’s Centennial Adventure, exploring the rich history of Lewisville as it celebrates its 100th birthday.

These books are written to provide our youngest residents an introduction to Lewisville’s history… and its future plans. We encourage the children to continue learning about Lewisville’s past with a short curriculum and activities on this site, inspired by Marco’s adventure.

Marco Centennial Adventure Scavenger Hunt

Continue your Marco adventure at school or at home with this exciting scavenger hunt. Print and hide images around your space and use the half-page sheet for children to circle the items as they find them. It’s a fun game that improves their understanding of Lewisville history while getting them out of a book and moving around.

If you enjoy scavenger hunts like this, come visit the Lewisville Public Library for a new scavenger hunt each month in the Children’s Wing.
